Bella! Anniversary Mini Theme Paperz

Hi everyone!  I wanted to share with you a project that I made with Ruby Rock-It Bella!'s new paper range: Bella! Anniversary Mini Theme Paperz!  Ruby Rock-It Bella! Fundamentals has created 8 new Mini ranges that can help document so many of your adventures.  Each range has 3 coordinating papers and a sticker sheet.
I altered a book for my project.
This is my Tata Gisele and Nonon Claude (my Aunt and Uncle) on their wedding day.

I think they look just dashing!  After gluing all of the book pages together (I cut out many sheets to ensure that my book would lie flat), I gessoed the whole thing and let it dry over night.  I inked up the edges of the book with Versamark and sprinkles some gold embossing powder onto it and heated it to create the perfect sparkly golden edges, perfect for their Golden Anniversary.

I cut out some of the beautiful hearts from the Picture Frame paper to place on my project- so pretty!

I inked the Sparkles letters to give some depth and interest.

This is a flower that I made with some cotton fabric that I have stashed in my closet along with one of the coordinating Stickers.

Valentine decor a la Bella! Pink Fusion

Hi everyone!  I have a sweet little card and place holder to share with you.  I always love to make place holders for my family during each of the holidays and Valentine's is no exception.  I used the lovely Bella! Pink Fusion range to create both of my projects.
Pattiebeltran
Here is both my card and place holder.
Card-pattiebeltran
I am loving the card trend of having an embossed white card base!  It's just such an elegant way to start a card.  So imagine my excitement when I opened up all of the varieties of embossed card bases made by Fundamentals!  My greatest dilemma was choosing which base to use- they are all so pretty.

Here's a close-up of my heart.

Here is my little place holder.  I carried out the heart theme and made a 3D heart as the topper.  It's super easy to make.  I cut out 2 hearts from the same Bella! Pink Fusion range and 1 heart out of white cardstock using my scalloped scissors.  I scored the hearts down the center, folded the hearts in half, stacked them together and stitched through the hearts.
The other thing that I did was place a secret love note on this holder.  I cut a strip of paper to fit my vintage spool (mine is 3/4" by however long I want my note to be), wrote a little sweet something and then wrapped it around my spool.  I used a touch of baker's twine to keep it all together.

Hi everyone.   Happy Valentine's Day to everyone!  Hope you are all being appreciated and shown just how special and loved you are! And not just today, but every day!! Since I'm on the subject of special and love, I just wanted to express how thankful I have been being able to share my scrappy works with all of you these past several years.  I hope that I have inspired you to use your special gift of craftiness as well!  My Little Shoebox has been a part of my life for over 5 years and I have enjoyed every minute of it!
I created a couple of Valentine themed projects for this month.  I made a card and a treat box for someone special in my life.
Card-pattiebeltran
This is  a card that I made using papers from the Notebook and Cherry Delight.  After hand cutting out the heart from the floral paper, I pop dotted it onto the polka dot paper to give some dimension to my card.  I also cut out a heart from chipboard and covered it in some extra sparkly glitter.  Sometimes it the simple things that make a card really special!
Candyholder-pattiebeltran
Next I made a little sweet treat box.  I love giving out candy boxes for just about any occasion- it's candy after all!  This is really simple to make with a 4x12" strip of paper and a few score marks.  This is great for room moms to make for all kinds of school functions!
Supplies used: Cherry Delight: Bliss, Charming; Notebook: With Love; Island Breeze Trim Pack, Cream Mini Alphabet Stickers.

Hunk Punky mini album

Hi everyone!  I have a fun new Mini Album to share with you from Punky Sprouts.  It's called the Hunk Punky and it is awesome!!  There are a lot of pages in this mini album, perfect for documenting that special event you've been wanting to scrap.   I created mine using photos of my sweet Pomeranian, Pumpkin.  She is just the most precious and loving companion I could ever wish for.

Here is my cover.  I love that cover is corrugate chipboard.  It lets me distress and grunge up the page .
I also love making 3D elements for my book and the cover is the perfect place to go crazy.  I made this star by cutting out a star, scoring each point of the star, and just folding all of the score lines.  Play with the star a bit and there you have it- a 3D star.

Here is the first set of pages.

I used my first denim page to create a pocket.  I love having little spot for extra journaling.

Here is my sweet Pumpkin, posing for a picture.

Hi everyone!  I have a step by step tutorial on how to make a card with the ever fabulous stepper card base by Ruby Rock-It Bella! Fundamentals, with a twist. I'm hoping that you are familiar with the Fundamentals range of card making supplies.  If not, you are in for a treat!  Fundamentals (one of the divisions of Ruby Rock-It bella! Fundamentals) has a huge range of beautiful, innovative card making supplies.  One of my favorites being the card bases.  The paper is a wonderful, heavy weight card stock that is so easy to work with and alter if you choose to.
Here is the card that I made:
1a
And here is a picture of what it looks like when it is open:
1b
Pretty neat, right?  So here is what you will need:
Are you ready?  Here we go!
2
Step 1:  Open up your stepper card and lie it flat onto a self healing mat (I used the 6x6 Stepper Card base).  Get your craft knife and ruler ready.  We are about to make 2 cuts.
3
Step 2: I used the 6x6 Stepper Card base.  This means that when you open up the card, it measures 6 x18 inches.  You will notice on the first 6 inch square, there is a score line 3 inches in.  We will start measuring from this point.  We will need to make a 12" cut starting at the 3" score mark. You will place your ruler 1 1/2" from the edge and make your 12" cut.
4
Step 3: You will turn your card 180 degrees and repeat step 2.  Now you will have 2- 12" cuts in your card base.
5
Step 4:  Now that you have created your 2 cuts, we are ready to score the card.  Do you remember when I said that the first 6" square had a score line 3" into the card base?  We need to create this score on the other side of the card as well.  Using a scoring board or your paper trimmer, score the card at 3".  Now you will have a card base that has 2-12 inch horizontal cuts in it and  the card is scored 3" from each edge.
6
Step 5:  Now it's time to start folding your card base.  we will start from the left side and move our way right.  The first 3 inches  of the card base will be left alone.  Next we will move to the next 3" of card.  This is where the cut marks start.  We will not fold the center portion at all, but the top and bottom portion will be folded down at the score line. Now we move onto the 6" score line.  Here we will fold the center portion down (make a mountain fold).  The upper and lower portions were mountain folded previously, so now we will create a valley fold. So now the first 6 inches are folded and prepped.
7
Step 6: So thus far, we have the first section of card base ready and it's time to move onto the center section.  There are no additional scores in this section, so the folding is a bit easier.  The top and bottom portion have thus far been mountain, then valley folded.  The next fold for the top and botom areas is a mountain fold.  The center section will be valley folded.  Your first 12" of card are folded and ready.  In the last section of card, we have a score mark 3" in from the end.  You will need to create a valley fold for the upper and bottom portions of the card base at this score line.  The center section will be left as is.
8
Step 7:  I know this has been a ton of info and sometimes it's easier to see things visually.  Here is what your card will look like from the top.  If for some reason you have a fold incorrect, no problem.  Check out this photo above and refold accordingly!
9
Step 8:  Here is a view from the side.  Go ahead and fold up your card. Amazing right!  You can also use a bone folder to make your folds nice and crisp.
PicMonkey Collage-stitching
Step 9:  Now it's time to cut your papers and prep all of your fabulous embellishments.  I stitched around each piece of paper to give a bit of interest (plus I love the look!).   I threaded some of this gorgeous silver velvet trim through the heart shaped Bucklez and wrapped the ribbon around the paper that covers the front of my card.  Next I adhered my papers onto my card.
PicMonkey Collage-heart
Step 10:  I cut out a piece of chipboard with a heart die (you don't need to buy any fancy chipboard if you don't have any hanging around- you can recycle cereal or cracker boxes, use the backing of an old notepad, etc).  I painted it, inked it, glittered it (because everything is better with glitter) and used one of the beautiful Arcadia pearls as an accent.
PicMonkey Collage-flower
Step 11:Next, I made a flower using the Fundamentals Vellum.  I cut out some layers with a steel rule die.  I used a white pen to add some contrast to the edges of the petals.  After layering the petals, I placed a Bella! Wedding Pearl in the center.
Now that you have your embellies made, start decorating your card to your hearts delight.  This card is great for a wedding, but you can alter it for any occasion (like Valentine's day in less than a week).
Hope you give this technique a try and get even more use from your Fundamentals card bases!
Happy Scrapping!

Hi everyone.  I wanted to share with you a sweet way to collect your Valentine's cards on the 14th as well as a card for someone you love!  I absolutely love the Aracdia range.  The colors are soft and romantic and just perfect for creating some Valentine's goodness.
I made a card along with a mini "mailbox" to collect cards from your loved ones.
Project-pattiebeltran
I created this mailbox using the ultra feminine Arcadia range.  I was a bit torn between using the full sheets of 12x12 paper and the Mini Paper Pack that accompanies the Arcadia range.  I decided to use the Mini Paper Pack.  The advantage to using the Mini Paper Pack is that it is the same gorgeous paper, but the print has been shrunk down to fit the smaller sized paper.  This is perfect for cards or smaller projects.
Mailbox1-pattiebeltran
And this is the card that I created.  I love the beautiful trims that accompany the Arcadia range as well.  Just look at that crocheted cluny lace- sigh!
Happy Valentine's Day to everyone!!  Happy scrapping!
