Vellum Ghosts...Spooky!!

Hi everyone!  All month long at Ruby Rock-It, we are sharing all things Halloween and Fall!  This is my absolute favorite time of the year and I always get excited for the cool crisp air, the leaves changing color and all of the upcoming holidays!  So, having said that.....I created a fun decoration for my home.  I love that strings of lights are acceptable for most holidays now and figured, why not make cute little ghosts from vellum to cover the mini lights.  I created these from just vellum and a sharpie (of course adhesives as well, lol)- can you believe it.  If you haven't used Fundamentals vellum yet- I have to say that this is the nicest, thickest, sturdiest vellum I have ever seen!  It is awesome!
These vellum ghosts are simple to make and required few tools.  A paper trimmer, score board of some sort (or you could use your trimmer plus a bone folder), a sharpie and Zots Dots.
After making a bunch of these, I popped them onto the string of lights.  Another fun thing that I did was to use a border punch to create a fun bottom edge to the ghosts.
I took these pictures of my string of lights...unfortunately as you all know, taking photos of strings of lights can be challenging, but I'm sure you get the idea of how cute this is!

Hi everyone!  I have a layout to share with your today based on Ruby Rock-It's October sketch challenge!   Pamela Young outdid herself on this sketch!!This layout is  featuring two beautiful paper ranges from Ruby Rock-It.  I used the Bella! Boutique Family range and the Kinda Krafty paper range.

These paper ranges work so well together even though, side by side they may not seem like it!  The warm rich tones pair perfectly together.
The embellishments that come in the Bella! Boutique Inspiration Kit are so pretty and lend so well for all of your family and autumn memories.

Pumpkin Name cards

Hi everyone!  I have some cute pumpkin name cards that are perfect for the upcoming holidays.  Every year, I make all of the place cards for Thanksgiving and Christmas dinner and these are the ones that I made last year.  They are super simple and take only a few "ingredients"
I used 4- 12x1" strips and 1- 12x 3/4" strip of Bella! Embossed cardstock.  I scored each strip every 1/4", accordion folded it to create the medallions.

I used a cinnamon stick as the center for each pumpkin.  I stacked them (first the 4 1' wide medallions, then the smaller 3/4" medallion).

I love not only the look of these, but the cinnamon stick makes the room smell heavenly!!

I hope you get inspired to create some of these fun little pumpkins for your holiday season as well.  Happy Scrapping!

Memo Board using Bella! Boutique Back to School

Hi everyone! I have a fun Memo Board to share with you  that is easy to make with your little ones.  I used the Bella! Boutique School Days paper range and embellishments to make this place for the littles to share notes, achievements and all things school related throughout the year!
Cp-pattiebeltran

I used a simple frame and embellished it with strips of paper and some of the awesome Chipboard Accents

Cp7-pattiebeltran
I made medallions to embellish both the frame and the clothespins.  The ruler paper from the Bella Boutique Paper pack is perfect for creating medallions- just cut apart the ruler strips, score ever 1/4" and pleat away.  This is where little nimble fingers come in handy.

PicMonkey Collage
These are the cute little clothespins.  They are perfect for hanging spelling tests, report card, important school info or any other special/important info that comes home from your school.

Welcome Back featuring Bella! Boutique Back to School

Hi everyone!  Pattie here to share with you a cute Welcome Back sign plus a fun paper apple- perfect for Back to School time.  If you are like me, the kids are settling back into their hectic school schedules and the lazy days of summer are just a fading memory.  I created this fun little Welcome Back sign and paper apple using the fun Bella! Back to School paper range.

Sign-pattiebeltran
Here is a close-up of my sign.  I love the bright vibrant colors in the Bella! Back to School paper range!  It makes me miss my kids being in elementary school!
Apple-pattiebeltran
Here is the apple that I made.  Super simple.  I cut a sheet of paper 6x12.  Then I cut 1/2" strips.  I punched a small hole in each end of the paper.  Next I fed a brad through all of the holes (you will repeat for both ends).  Then gently spread and space the paper strips.  I bent the ends to make the apple stand on it's own.  Easy!
