Going to CHA

Hi everyone. It's been awhile since I have posted. It's just been crazy around here- getting ready for CHA, kitting My Little Shoebox's CHA class- if you are going, come check us out! Our class is rocking -it's stuffed with all sorts of goodies- and the My Little Shoebox booth is going to be packed with awesome layouts, cards and projects!! Also, as many of you know, Picture Me Perfect is closing! Our last day will be Subday August 16th. For those of you that want to take the CHA class My Peeps, but can't go to CHA. I'll be teaching it on August 15th- check out Picture me Perfect's website (www.bayareascrappers.com) and you can always sign up there.

This weekend, we had our monthly card swap (the girls are all so awesome and creative- I feel so blessed to walk in my one card, and to leave with a total of 12 beautiful cards!!) It was just such a wonderful evening- we all had dinner together and spent the evening hanging out, chatting and swapping cards. This was my card for this month. I absolutely love all things vintage and just can't help myself from making these kinds of cards- I hope the other ladies don't mind.

So just a little 411- new My Little Shoebox will be available July 27th- mark your calendars- you are going to love every bit of it. We have 6 fab new lines, 6 new colors of glaze and mini alphabets and an all new chipboard font- it's to die for!!

Feeling the Love!

This month, I was able to play with the Who's There? line by My Little Shoebox. I had so much fun and I love those little owls so much!! The My Little Shoebox (MLS) design team has been so fortunate to be able to do product swaps with other super companies and this month we were able to work with Coredinations cardstock. Have you played with this cardstock yet? It's awesome. So, we all know about white core cardstock, well, this cardstock is color cored with either, white, black or brown as the outer color- so cool! So here are my projects this month:

I love(love) meerkats. They are so stinking cute- so I just had to scrap about one of my favorite little critters. I used MLS's Who's there? papers. The colors work so well together and I am a huge fan of polka dots.

This is Suzy and I at the Hudson in New York. It was so cold, but so beautiful.

My Aunt Renee visited us from France this April-May. I love her so much! I am so blessed to have her in my life!

I love projects and mini books. I had so much fun making this "Love" banner for the home!

These next projects are MLS + Coredinations. This is the Turtles and Trees line. I used the back of one of the Coredinations cardstock. The heart is from the Chocolate box collection. I cut it into a heart shape, ran it through my cuttlebug with the swiss dot embossing folder, and sanded the top. This is my dh.

This is my sweet little Pumpkin! I am so enamored with my Pom Pom! The beautiful crocheted flower was given to me by my wonderful friend Maria.

I used the Enjoy Life line on this page. My two little-lol- well not so little- honey bears are so cute! I love these two so much! They only have 4 days of school left-woohoo!! I love summer vacation!!! I can't wait!

I am so into board games and even though Tic Tac Toe is so simple- it never gets old! If you make this with a magnetic sheet and place magnets behind the game pieces, this would make a great travel game for the kids in the car during those long summer drives!

Thanks for checking out my blog! I just feel the need to spread some love- Rod, Roddy, Victoria, and Pumpkin- you are my sunshine!! I love you so much!! You make me so happy and complete!! To my parents: love you bunches! Pam and Jose- no more bork! Love you guys! To Erin, Rocio, Angel, Nicole, Jeanne, Linda, Suzy and the rest of the gals- hugs and smooches! You are all very special to me!!

MLS + Clear Scraps = Love

Okay, how exciting is it to be a part of My Little Shoebox's design team? Oh my gosh, there are no words! So we've been so blessed in that the last couple of month's. MLS has been teaming up with other companies, swapping products and showing how fabulous our products work together. So, this month is no different. We are working with Clear Scraps this month. My first mini book is using the MLS Turtles and Trees line with the 8x8 tabbed mini album by Clear Scraps. I named it "a Happy Heart". In this mini book, I have my lovely family, my puppy Pumpkin, and some of my friends- they all help to make me who I am!

In this next mini book, I used the "Wonderful" line by MLS-the circle paper is named after me, how exciting is that!- and this great album by Clear Scraps. I never scrap about myself-whcih is shameful- but I just don't seem to have the time to. So I documented a few things that I like. The only problem is that I am so brain dead sometimes that I can't even remember the things that I like!! So ok- I am not a big movie buff (I love to read- most anything, but I really love history), even though I see tons of movies because my family loves them (i.e.- I saw Star Trek yesterday and the new Terminator movie today), so I couldn't even figure what movies I like. I kept asking my kids, "What movies do I like?" and they were staring at me as if I had lost my mind. Mind you, they are 13 and 14, so they think I'm crazy anyways-lol! So, even though I had moments where I was challenged, I think it came out pretty darn good.

So in my last post, I hinted at some exciting news. So I have been fortunate enough to be one of the few that have seen the new MLS line that will be released in July! Oh my gosh, are you all in for a treat!! Within the 6 new lines, there is definately something that will appeal to everyone!! I can't say much more, but I can't wait to get my hands on this stuff for myself!!! The other thing that is so super exciting- MLS has been asked to appear on Scrapbook Memories TV again!! Helen and Suzy filmed this past Tuesday!! It is so incredible- a handful of uber talented girls from the store (Picture Me Perfect in Fremont, CA- check us out at www.bayareascrappers.com) worked diligently and into the wee hours of the night for many days to make sure that we had tons of layouts, cards and projects for the show. I've got to give mad props to my girls Rocio, Angel, Nicole, Erin, and Suzy. They were oozing talent and craziness for 3 1/2 days. We were sleep deprived, demented, and virtually insane, but we made it. I also had to give Erin props- she will have the most gorgeous layout featured as a step out on the show- woo-hoo!!!! I am also thrilled to say that I have been honored with the opportunity to have a mini book being featured as a step-out as well. Yipppeeeeee!!!

MLS in the house

I am so excited about these new layouts that I made with the Neighborhood line by My Little Shoebox. I kept them really simple- which is nice. I have the tendency to keep adding sparkles and bling and flowers, etc. It's simply an addiction to all things shiny-lol! This is my hubby and I . I had fun playing with the scallop circle papers and the die cuts. They are awesome!

This is my sister and her hubby. I love how the transparency overlays can be used as a subtle way to enhance your page.
My sweet Aunt Renee visited us from France in April. She's here on the left with my Mom on the right. I really don't have any photos of my aunt, so I made sure to take advantage of her visit to get a few.
I made these quick little cards with the Neighborhood MLS products too. The diecuts and overlays are so card-maker friendly!

Within the week, I'll be posting 2 mini books that I made using My Little Shoebox and Clear Scraps acrylic albums.

Happy Birthday Victoria

I can't believe that my little baby is now 13! Where did the time go? I can accept three, but thirteen?! No way! So it's now official- I only have teenagers, no more little ones. No more being a room mom, no more holiday parties at school (she started 7th grade this year), no more little girl that needs her mama for the most mundane of things. Instead, I am gaining a beautiful young lady. I can't wait to see the amazing future that awaits you.
So, I just finished baking her birthday cake and extra cupcakes for good measure. We'll go out to dinner tonight and we'll go from there. I think the worst thing about today is that my poor baby has strep throat. Happy Birthday Victoria. I love you so very much!!

I Love My Little Shoebox!

I am so living My Little Shoebox! Their products are amazing- the colors, the patterns, the embellishments- need I say more. So this month, I am one of the lucky gals that was able to play with the Flawless line by MLS. MLS also partnered up with Hambly- you know, all of those luscious transparencies, rub-ons- you know, the good stuff. So here goes:

This is my beautiful family. I used the scalloped circle paper- love it! I am so into these MLS chipboard letters. I glittered the "f" and stamped swirls on the other letters with the new champagne versamark inks.

These are my sweet little dumplings- I know, I know -don't embarass me mom- but I love you two so much! Here I played with the MLS overlays. these are so fun and versatile. I cut out the flowers, foam dotted 2 of them, and stickled away. The overlays are so nice because they add that extra oomph without distracting from your photo.

This is my lovely daughter. I used the Hambly clearly overlay sheet and stamped on it with staz-on. I then stickled over the flourishes. This became the base for my page. I layered MLS Flawless papers and used the awesome chipboard letters. I used orange peel stickles to make sparkly polka dots. The MLS chipboard is so great to have because , not only are the colors so easy to use with any paper, but by being a solid, one can always alter them. So now, with one sheet of alphabet stickers, I can either use them solid-which is a staple in all scrapbooking- or change them up depending on my need. Awesome!!

This is my little cupcake- Pumpkin! I used the mini graph Hambly sheet in green and used it as the base of my page, layered some fantastic Flawless paper and used my MLS chipboard letters and MLS overlays. I stickled my overlay and chipboard- Voila!

I made this sweet little card with MLS Flawless. So cute!

The overlays are so fun. I used a permanent marker to darken behind the words "perfect day" . You can also used alcohol inks!

I made this card with MLS Flawless papers and a Hambly overlay. These papers work so well together and made for a very elegant card.

This is just a simple little card to "thank you". Of course, MLS Flawless paper is the base, as well as the flowers. I used a Hambly rub-on (they are like butter) and one of the their craft borders as the flower's stem. Gotta love it.

Well, thanks ladies for checking this out. Talk to you all real soon!!
