Ho Ho Ho

Can you believe that in 3 months from today, Christmas will be done and over with? I can't, but what a great way to kick off getting ready for the holiday season than making some cards. My Little Shoebox is releasing their first Christmas line and it's called Holly Jolly! How cute! I made this cute little card with our new paper. I took paper strips and accordian folded them. Then I adhered them to the card base at a slight curve, with them slightly over-lapping.

This little card just screams snow and winter to me. Wish we had snow here, but I'll just have to make do with snowman and snowflake paper :) I used the super cute cardstock stickers along with the die cuts.

I "heart" Fiskars

Fiskars is a wonderful company that has been around for a very long time. I remember my mom having the standard orange handled Fiskars scissors, and I'm proud to own many pairs of those scissors myself. But I am also fortunate enough to lve in a day and age where Fiskars has branched out into the crafting world as well and I have to say, their border punches are phenomenal! MLS did a product swap with Fiskars and I was blessed with some awesome punches. I used the postage stamp border punch to frame this photo of ms. EY and myself. These punches are so easy to work with!

I used the Harmony line to make this layout. I love the new square scalloped paper. So easy to work with. Did you notice the new glitter alphabets as well? They are so cute! I love the lower case font!
Thanks for checking.

Cards, cards cards

I love cards! I love sending them, receiving them and most of all, making them. The new My Little Shoebox line called Harmony, makes the most beautiful cards. The colors are vibrant and fun and just scream "cards" to me. I made this cute little Happy Birthday card with the new papers and the new cardstock stickers. Have you guys tried these out yet? Oh my gosh, they are so addictive. They are heavy duty cardstock weight and stick just perfectly!! Oh, and did you see the bottom edge of this card. That's one of the new border punches from Fiskars. We had a super awesome swap with Fiskars! Their punches are fabulous and punch like butter (is that a real phrase? hahaha ). This is the postage stamp border punch. I love it!!

I had so much fun making this second card. I love banners and thought that a string of paper lanterns would have that cute banner look. I used a super awesome white glaze pen from Sakura to add some dimensional dots on the flower, and a black glaze pen to add some stitch lines around the card. Gotta love Sakura!!

Thanks for checking!

All about Family

Hi there. It's been a while since I've posted. Just catching up since returning from CHA. Oh my gosh- the show was awesome! The My Little Shoebox booth was hopping and we had a great show. While we were there, Erin and I taught this super cute mini book featuring one of MLS's new lines: Green. This book is packed with tons of goodies! And now, Erin and I will team up at Scrapbook Island in San Jose , CA to teach it on Saturday, August 21st from 10:30-1:30. Check out their website: www.scrapbookisland.typepad.com . You can call up the nice folks at Scrapbook Island and sign up there. Here's the cover of the book. It's a Maya Road album that is filled with lots of places for photos and journaling.

Thanks for looking and hope to see you on Saturday, August 21st :D

Cute as a Button

This is the last of the six new lines from My little Shoebox. The changes to the lines are so exciting! An extra 12x12 paper (4 now instead of 3), square scalloped paper vs. a circle scalloped paper, new glaze alphabets (new font, lowercase, and more of each letter- woo-hoo!!), cardstock stickers versus the overlays, and stamps! Wow, that's a lot of change, but it's all for the better!!

I made this layout from the Cute as a Button line. This beautiful young lady is the daughter of a very dear friend of mine, and I was blessed to have the priveledge of scrapping this photo. This paper line is perfect for little girls, birthday parties, girls night out or you can even flip them over and use them for masculine pages.

I made this flower from one of the basksides of the Cute as a Button line. I love when I can use my paper to make embellishments- more bang for my buck :D

Thanks for checking and make sure to check the MLS blog for more goodness from our awesome new team: www.mylittleshoebox.typepad.com

Green

This Friday we are debuting sneak peeks of the Green line. This line is just so much fun to work with. The colors are vibrant, and I can't enough of the woodgrain paper and the teal papers are to die for.

I made this layout, You Are my Sunshine, with the new papers and stamps. I had so much fun stamping the trees to create an even larger tree.

I stamped the image and used a Sakura Glaze pen over the centers to give a raised, epoxy look. The Sakura pens have such an awesome flow. The bling in the flower centers are from Creative Impressions. This bling packs a punch- so sparkly.

Check back tomorrow for a sneak peek of the Cute as a Button line. And don't forget to check out My Little Shoebox's website for all of the goodness: www.mylittleshoebox.typepad.com

Sneak Peeks

Hi there. Here are the last two sneak peeks for the My Little Shoebox Summer release. This is Summer Breeze line. I absolutely love this line. The colors are a bit more muted and tend to lend themselves to a more vintage look (which is my favorite).

Here we have Simple Life. This line is so fun and great for boys. The colors are vibrant yet earthy, perfect for the upcoming autumn months.
Hope you enjoy them as much as we do :D Thanks for checking.
