MLS and Unity Hip Hop Blog Hop

Hey everyone. Thank you for stopping by to see the card that I made using My Little Shoebox's Enchanted Garden paper line and the matching Unity Stamp! If you are arriving from

Jen Buck's blog, then you are hip hopping along just fine :D Isn't she awesome!

I used the tag/frame stamp and one of the flowers. I colored it using Copic markers and then cut it out and mounted it with foam squares. I used Ranger's perfect pearls to accent the frame. It gives the tag just that little extra something.

Next, you're off to visit Jimmi Mayo's blog. Are you in for a treat!

Please make sure to leave a comment along the way. At the end, we will have an awesome prize for you! And I will be handing out a prize as well! I will be picking a winner Monday, October 31st for a full line of your choice!

Thanks for stopping and make sure to visit Monday for the winner. Have a great week!

Hi everyone. Posting a couple of pictures of a topiary that I made using the Enchanted Garden line by My Little Shoebox. I used th e3D Roll up flower die-cuts. They are so easy to use- especially with a quiliing tool or Imaginisce's flower rolling tool.

Here's a close-up. I added pearls for the centers and Platinum Stickles to accentuate the edges. Gotta love glitter!

Thanks for stopping by :D

Hi there. Hope everyone is doing well. The kids are settled back in school, first progress reports received (all A's and B's- yahoo) and our first few days of rain after days of blistering heat are upon us here in the Bay Area. Just wanted to share a card and a layout that I created using the Audrey line from My Little Shoebox. Love the silhouettes and love the color palette of this paper line.
Here's a simple little "Happy Birthday" card that I created.

Here is a layout that I created. It's from my sister's and brother in law's wedding. I can't believe that it's been 13 years (Sept. 29th) already.

Thanks for stopping by. See you soon :D

Punky Sprouts Mini Album

Hi everyone. Hope your September is going well. I can't believe that the kids have been back to school for a couple of weeks now and we are finally settling back into our routines, well except for the alarm buzzing away at me at 6 every morning- uggg! Why can't school start later in the day :D

on to scrappy stuff, here is a Punky Sprout album that I created for My Little Shoebox. Check out the blog and you'll get to see what some of the other girls created- you will be amazed by their crafty ways!

I used the Audrey line. The colors are amazing! This album is a gate fold album, but I mixed up the pieces and used it in a more traditional format. I used one of the acrylic pages to create a window in the cover as well.

This album was created for my mom in memory of her Pomeranian Sweetpea. She passed away very unexpectedly just a bit before I created this and thought that she might enjoy something to stores her memories in.

The Audrey line is a really girlie line and loves to be adorned with lace, pearls and ribbons.

I love and miss you Sweetpea.

Thanks for stopping by . Have a great week!

Trick or Treat Blog Hop

Hi there! I'm so excited to share some items that I created for My little Shoebox's blog hop featuring the new Trick or Treat line!
We have lots of tricks and treats for you along the way, so please make sure to hit all of the blogs (starting with MLS's- I linked it above).

Hopefully you arrived from Mandy's blog. Isn't she awesome!! I've created some treat "boxes" using the Trick or Treat line.

Here is my Tootsie Roll Spider- Spooky! My daughter Victoria was so sweet and said to me,"Mom, you have to make a spider candy bag!" Thank yo Victoria for your super cute idea

I have a "Trick" for you. This is a great way for Room mom's to create a quick treat bag for all of your Halloween parties. This is a simple 4x12 piece of paper (MLS Trick or Treat- Monster Crossing), scored at 4", 5 1/2", 9 1/2", and 10 1/4". Fold on the scored lines (you'll have a flap that's 1 3/4". I found this to be too long, so I cut the excess with my pinking shears to make the edge extra spooky!). Cut out a 2 1/2" square window from the first 4" panel with a craft knife. Fill a Wilton goodie bag with sweet treats, staple it onto the back panel (Tim Holtz's Tiny Attacher), punch 2 holes into the 1 3/4" flap and the window flap. Thread ribbon(Creative Impressions) through and tie into a bow. Make a small tag (MLS- Trick or Treat- Scaredy Cat), use mini letters (MLS- linen Mini letters) for your message
and tie onto the bow with twine (Creative Impressions). Then I used an EK Success Jack-o-lantern border punch on a 4x1 strip of Scaredy cat paper, adhere to the front. Roll up some MLS 3-D Roll up Flowers diecuts and Glue to the front of the goodie bag (all adhesive from Therm o Web- red liner tape, sticky dot runner, 3-D Zots and Medium Zots)

I wrapped a candy bar with paper and used MLS's Cardstock Stickers to create a label

And lastly, I created a Treat bag filled with gumballs (or any candy of choice). This would also make for a super fast treat bag for any of the goblins that come knocking at your door.

Please don't forget to leave a comment! Ok, now off to the fantastic Treat that Linda has to share with you! Her project is amazing!

Don't forget to collect all of the letters along the way! Mine is the letter "Y". Good luck! and thanks for hopping by :D

Trick or Treat

Hi everyone. It's been a while since I've posted anything. I feel like I haven't have a spare moment since the start of July. First, we had to get all prepared for CHA- which means lots of creating, lots of packing, and lots of prepping for My Little Shoebox's workshop and make and takes. We had a great time in Chicago (well, Rosemont to be exact) and had so much fun during the show. It's always so nice to see friendly faces when you're far from home.

On August 3rd (I know, I'm a little late), Rod and I celebrated our 20th Anniversary. I can't believe that it has been that long- where did the time go? Love you Rod and I can't wait for the next 20 :D

Here is one of the projects that I created for CHA. It's from My Little Shoebox's Trick or Treat line. I so love Halloween (second favorite holiday right after Christmas) and can't wait until fall. The crisp air, the way leaves change to a rich hue of red or orange, warm sweaters, baking pies and caramel apples- ok, sorry, I am so off track. I altered a jewelry holder to hold these cute little cards. I layered the papers with vintage images, used the new Cottage Cutz dies that match My little Shoebox's new lines and just had fun digging through some of my old and new treasures.

Here's a close up of the top portion. I love the banner die cuts from MLS's new 3-D roll up flower die cut sheets. So cute!!

And here a better look at the bottom portion. I've had a small box of those pumpkin jingle bells for what seems like forever!
So happy to finally have the perfect project to use it on.

Thanks so much for stopping by :D Have a great week!
