3D Star Tutorial featuring Ruby Rock-It Bella! Sugar Candy Paperz

Hi everyone!!  I have a video tutorial to share with you on how to create 3D stars.  Here is a card that I shared earlier this month with a 3D star.

And here is a better look at the star.
Cardaa2-pattiebeltran
You don't need a lot of tools to create this star.  Here is what you will need:
A five pointed star cut from paper (you can use a die, a die-cut machine, cookie cutters or hand cut it)
a bone folder
a ruler
adhesive (I like Beacon's 3 in 1 or Helmar's adhesive)

So cut out a star (or two or three) and try this quick and easy tutorial!

Here's the link:

Supplies used:
Just in case that was a little fast for you, here is a mini step by step to help you along.
1. score your star from the tip of a point straight down to the valley between the two points beneath it.
2. repeat with the other 4 points until you have scored all 5 points in half.
3. fold and crease all of your score lines.  You will notice that the star has started to look dimensional.
4. from the top of the star, fold and crease the score lines.
5.  You now have a fun 3D star!!
You can glue this star onto your projects, string a bunch together for a garland for your next party, 4th of July BBQ or even for your Christmas tree, or even make some uber-cute princess/fairy wands!!

Thanks for stopping by and Enjoy!!

Vintage Inspired Cards

Hi everyone!  I have a couple of cards that I created using the new Bella! Mother's Mini Theme range to share with you today. Even though this paper is themed towards all things Mom- which is awesome!, I love finding ways to use product in a different way.  The color palette of this range is soft hues of pink and minty teal with a pop of black- which is just perfect for vintage inspired paper crafting in my opinion.

Here are the cards that I created.

I made this sweet little cupcake card using the Fundamentals Imprints card bases.  I can't express enough how awesome these card bases are!  I'm often disappointed with the bases that I find in the big box stores- they are thin and flimsy.  But let me tell you, these Imprint card bases are made from such a wonderful heavy weight cardstock.  Even though the card bases are pretty standard in terms of shape (which is perfect for most cards mind you), with a little imagination and a few snips with a pair of scissors, I made this cupcake.  I also used the Cloud squeeze Punch from Fiskars, our product swap partner for the month.  I layered the little clouds to create an icing top for my cupcake (remember how I like to use things in different ways, lol).

I pleated some Sugar Candy Cardstock (doesn't that sound yummy) to make the bottom of the card and had fun embellishing with a Bella! Buckelz, trims and a Fundamentals Tags.

I made this second card using the beautiful glittered Bella! Mother's Mini Theme Die Cut pack as embellies.  There is such a wide variety of beautiful shapes in the package, and did I mention they are glittered as well :)

Here are a couple of close-ups of the Die-Cuts layered.

A huge thank you to Fiskars for their generosity!!  They are a wonderful company with high quality cutting tools that are perfect for all of your crafting needs!!

Creative Cards

Hi everyone.  I have a couple of cards to share that I created using the beautiful Bella! Year in Review range.  It's that time of year for Father's Day and Graduations.  I have a very special someone who is graduating this year and I decided this range was perfect for cards and invites!

I made this fun card with a 3D star.  I used the Bella! bling to create some sparkle trailing from the star- everything is better with sparkle!

Here's a close-up.  I'll have a tutorial later this month showing you just how easy it is to create one yourself!
I also made this money-holder card.  I think any young adult would agree that there is no better gift than the gift of cash.

with just a couple of score lines and a few folds, I made this card with a slide out cash holder. I love how the Bella! Buckelz adds just the right amount of pizzazz.
