Simple Life

Hey there. Are you all ready for the upcoming holidays? I can't believe 11 days until Christmas. When did it creep up on me? Still have some shopping to do- wish me luck :D
For the month of November, I worked with My Little Shoebox's Simple Life paper line. I covered this wooden mirror frame with the papers and used the large icons pieces to create a "farm landscape" along the bottom.

I made this sun by cutting out a circle from the yellow B side of one of the papers and cutting thin strips of paper. My favorite thing to do is use a Sakura glaze pen to outline and doodle on my projects. The glaze pen leaves this great raised dimensional look.

This is the card that I made-I used some of the cardstock stickers from My Little Shoebox. Love these stickers - The quality is outstanding!

Thanks for checking and have a great weekend.

Holiday Gift Ideas

Hi there. We're almost at the end of My Little Shoebox's Holly Jolly Holiday event. Can you believe all of the beautiful and ultra crafty projects the MLS team has created? Wow, I'm impressed!
Today we are feauturing holiday gift ideas. I created this paper flower candle wreath. I love having scented candles burning, and it's even nicer when the candle is all "dressed up".
I used some heavy guage floral wire to form a circle, covered the wire with floral tape. Atached the white sparkle berry sprigs, and created some paper flowers and leaves from the new Holly Jolly paper line by My Little Shoebox.

Here are some close ups of the flowers.

And of course, nothing is complete without some glitter. I just swiped a bit of tacky glue along the edges of the flower with my finger and dipped the flower into some clear coarse glitter by Martha Stewart.

Please make sure to visit the

MLS

blog and leave a comment. Remember that we will be giving out a prize in just a few days.

Thanks for checking!

Thankful Blog Hop

Hi there. Thanks for visiting me from Rocio's blog - isn't she fabulous! Hope November is treating you well (can you believe just 1 month and 6 days until Christmas- Yikes!) With only a week until Thanksgiving, My Little Shoebox is having a "Thankful Blog Hop". Please start at the
blog
and leave a message on each of the design members blog.
You know what that means right- a fabulous My Little Shoebox prize. And who doesn't like that?
We are all taking the time to just sit and reflect about what we are thankful for. This is the card that I made using the Simple Life line from MLS.

I made a thank you card, because there are so many people and things that I am so thankful for in life. First I have to thank God for each and every day of this amazing life that He has blessed me with. I have the honor of calling Rod my sweet and dear husband for the last 19 years (oh my gosh, has it been that long already?) He supports me in everything that I do, even my "need to collect" scrap stuff and other crafts as well- hee hee. I am blessed with two amazing children that make me proud each and every day- I can't imagine life with out them! I am thankful for my stress reliever - my sweet little Pumpkin. I am grateful for my parents, sister Pam and her hubby Jose- family is so important. Having grown up with all of my family in Europe, I appreciate who I have here in the states. I am so thankful to be blessed with amazing women that I have the honor to call friend. You know who you are - you understand my quirks and still love me-now that's a friend!!

There is so much more to be grateful for, but this is a blog post and not a novel- hahaha! Please leave me a comment- I'll be choosing a random winner to get some Mini Alphabet Stickers- now that's something to be thankful for :D

Please visit our next designer:

the ever fabulous:

She will inspire you with her super creative self!!

Check back Monday for the winner! Thanks for visiting.
