Punky Sprouts

Hi there. Happy Memorial Day weekend! Hope you are all having a great 3 day weekend. This month, the MLS design team was able to work with Punky Sprouts and Tattered Angels. I have to say, these 3 companies combined make for a beautiful mini book!! I used the Lil' Critter line to make this cute little book.

I also made this really cute little card from the Lil' Critter line. This line is so cute! The colors are fun and festive and perfect for the summer months.

I "heart"Tattered Angels

This month, My Little Shoebox has partnered up with Tattered Angels- so stinking exciting!! All of the girls were so thrilled with their goodies and have been hard at work. Here I used one of the screens from Tattered Angels and Marshmallow Glimmer Mist. Okay, I have a confession to make- I adore Marshmallow Glimmer Mist and own far too many (like, counting on 2 hands too many), but I can't get enough of this spray!! Check out Tattered Angels- they have loads of goodness going on over there: www.mytatteredangels.com and you have to check out their blog : www.mytatteredangels.com/blog . Their designers are uber creative and have made some gorgeous projects and layouts!

So when I came home from having lunch with someone that I love oh so very much today, there was a beautiful brown box filled with this yummy goodness. Yes, it is chalkboard Glimmer Mist. All twelve colors were gently nestled amongst the crumpled kraft colored paper packing- oh, what a delight!

And when I say that I love Glimmer Mist- I am so not kidding! I have lots and lots of bottles tucked away in my scrap space. And I love each and every one of them.

Thanks for looking. Have a great weekend :D

These are the cards that I made this month for My Little Shoebox. I used the Flying High line. It is so stinkin' cute. It has houses and birds and clouds. I used my Sakura Glaze pens to outline and highlight certain areas on the card. You can see on the roof that I outlined the "shingles".

I used one of the clouds from the transparent overlay sheet and covered it in glitter. Then I used a foam square to pop it and give the cloud some dimension.

Here is my second card. I love this green dotted backside of this paper. I cut out the bird from the large icon paper.

I used the clear glaze pen by Sakura on the wings and the flower center. It gives some fun dimension to the card.

I used the new adhesive by Love My Tapes to make these cards. This adhesive rocks.

This month for MLS, I was able to play with Flying High. I needed to make a project, and what better way to celebrate spring than with a birdhouse. The colors of this paper line are so bright and lively!

Here are some close-ups of the birds. These are the large icon images that are so MLS!!

I sprinkled glitter on the flowers- no project is complete without glitter.

I used the border strip paper for the panels to make sure that the scenery matched up perfectly. This paper made this project so easy to make.

Happy Friday!

Isn't Friday the best day of the week. Even though I'm completely worn out by the time Friday comes around, I'm also completely recharged because I will have 2 full days of family time and not having to get up at 5 something in the morning (what a way to ruin the morning - lol).

So excited to have gone to the MLS warehouse this week with my dear friend Erin. Not only were we able to hang out with Helen (owner and designer for MLS), but the new chipboard alphabets came in!!! Oh, the colors are yummy and I love the font. It's just so basic and perfect for anything- cards, layouts, mini books- you get the picture.

Oh yeah- yummy aren't they?

I also wanted to give a shout out to Love My Tapes and Shemaine. They are sponsoring the MLS design team and have generously donated adhesive to the team. Wow, is this adhesive fantastic. Smooth, even coverage and a great stickiness (is that a word?). If your looking for a great adhesive, check them out ( http://lovemytapes.bigcartel.com) . The adhesives works great and the price is super resonable!
Have a great weekend!
P.S. don't forget the My Little Shoebox dt call. You have until May 15th to submit!!

Challenge

Happy Easter! Hope you had a great day, filled with family and love! And if you don't celebrate Easter, Happy Sunday! For the month of March, I made this card times 10 for my challenge group. We were to take paper from our stash (3 sheets) and make either a 2 page layout for spring or 10 spring themed cards. So, of course, I picked cards. We were also to dust off 2 stamps and use them. I stamped the tree trunk with a Maya Road stamp and used the leaf stamp with versamark ink and stamped leaves all over a cardstock scalloped circle.

If you don't belong to a challenge group, you should try it. My friends are so smart and put this group together- they are the best. The best part of our monthly challenge is to use the stuff from our stash. What a way to rediscover the products that we had long forgotten about.
